With the WeldEye integration, Aarbakke now achieves faster, more accurate welding data, in turn leading to stronger compliance and adherence to the required standards, be they ISO or NORSOK.
Sondre Otto, Welding Engineer, explains: “I used to have to gather a lot of the data manually, before checking and entering then checking again – WeldEye has reduced by hours the amount of time I need to use on this now that I know the data comes direct, and can be trusted to be correct, and in addition a lot of it can be accessed in real time”. “I’ve worked with WeldEye now for a couple of years, so the time saving alone has been enormous”.
WeldEye’s integration kit was especially valuable, allowing seamless data transfer from the ERP system. Initially connected to their own ERP Monza, in 2024 the company switched to RamBase, again integrating WeldEye to eliminate manual input. This has significantly reduced time spent on documentation and minimised errors. Magne Barka, Responsible Welding Engineer at Aarbakke adds: “We have also integrated WeldEye to manage NDT (non-destructive testing) reports by pulling all metadata directly from the ERP, covering hundreds of reports per week. In practice this means that welders log their work, certificates, and procedures in the system, and this in turn provides automatic notifications when certifications are due for renewal. This kind of integration and features also means our customers trust our data and compliance with the specifications required for their projects.”
Magne continues: “We have definitely seen an increase in the demand for projects that adhere to industry specific requirements, be it ISO standards or others and having WeldEye integrated as we do, gives us confidence that we can deliver what the customer needs.”
