WeldEye’s Quality Management module has been updated with new functions. The new functions improve the monitoring of project progress and support the centralization of welding project documentation under one software solution even better than before.
Digitalization of welding accelerates when the capability of the most intelligent welding machines is combined with the information produced by a unique manufacturing execution system developed in Finland.
WeldEye is now available for managing the quality of robotic welding. By collecting data from the welding robot and synchronizing it with weld lists in the cloud service, WeldEye provides an effortless way of monitoring robotic welding quality and its compliance with welding procedure specifications (WPS). In addition, the software ensures full traceability down to each weld and welded end product.
Available now on Google Play, the WeldEye application acts as a mobile user interface for the cloud-based WeldEye software and offers a new set of tools for managing welding quality, welding production processes, and productivity.
WeldEye and SSAB’s SmartSteel have been successfully integrated in order to streamline base material information handling in welding production. The results of the pilot are now available to all companies that are currently using both digital platforms.

The Kolkata Branch of the Indian Institute of Welding organizes a one-day symposium on the Internet of Welding in association with Kemppi India Ltd and Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in Salt Lake City, Kolkata on 18 November 2017.
